As Selling Sunset fans watch the tension between Christine Quinn and Chrishell Stuase on season 4, some think Chrishell is fueling their feud. The two had little to no interaction while filming and fans have been confused about why. Chrishell and Christine have been bad-mouthing each other on the show and seemingly working to gain more allies. But Chrishell claims producers forced her to talk about Christine but she didn't want to.
Chrishell and Christine have been anything but friends over the course of the show. They started off on the wrong foot in season 2 and ended things horribly with Christine shouting at Chrishell during a work event. By season 3, Chrishell was dealing with a public divorce while Christine was preparing to walk down the aisle. Despite their scarred history and Chrishell's crumbled marriage, she still attended Christine's wedding to support her. But somewhere over the course of wrapping season 3 and filming season 4, Christine and Chrishell became arch enemies.
Season 4 viewers feel like Chrishell isn't so innocent when it comes to handling her feud with Christine. Scenes have shown her talking negatively about Christine every chance she gets. But Chrishell claims producers forced the conversations about Christine. She recently responded to one fan who complained about how negative the season 4 dynamic is. "Agreed. Not my fav," Chrishell admitted in an Instagram comment captured by a Reddit user. "Annoying to be asked to address things and then show it like that's all we talk about when so many times we were asked to." Chrishell explained how her actual conversations with the cast went and said they were more positive and not about Christine.
Producers ultimately opted to highlight the drama in season 4 to keep the fans engaged. But the viewers weren't impressed and have been criticizing the new season. While Chrishell and Christine weren't the best of friends in season 3, things didn't seem that bad to where they wouldn't be speaking at all in season 4. But Chrishell tells the newcomers on the show to be careful with Christine because of her past experience with her. When watching Christine sit down with newbie Vanessa Villela, Christine didn't have anything nice to say about Chrishell.
It's clear that Christine and Chrishell aren't friends, but viewers weren't expecting things to go so sour. They also are surprised by how much time Chrishell spent talking poorly about Christine. Chrishell says she's "hopeful" that season 5 will have a more positive tone and highlight the friendly vibes within the cast instead of the feuds. Chrishell and Christine might even share an exchange in the new season. Selling Sunset fans want to see more comradery instead of fighting.
