A few weeks ago, the So You Think You Can Dance star announced that he would be discontinuing his participation in the DWTS tour due to health issues. Artem's announcement came two weeks after the tour started. The dance pro expressed his sadness on his social media platforms, writing, "My time on tour so far has been wonderful--unfortunately, I am having to step away from the tour for a while, due to some unexpected health issues." Artem added that while he won't be seen on tour thenceforth, his "goal" was to recover quickly and return to the tour and reunite with his colleagues. The star, who met his fiancée on DWTS, received myriads of support, as lovely messages kept pouring in. His fans wished him swift recovery as he dealt with the ailment. Throughout his address, Artem did not disclose his diagnosis.
Artem's sister-in-law-to-be Brie Bella joined Us Weekly for an interview where she updated fans on how he had been faring. Brie made it known that the dad-of-one was "doing better." The WWE champion stated that it made him feel good to see how much people cared for him, as they sent their "prayer and thoughts" his way. Brie,38, revealed that Artem had COVID-19 and that there was more to it. She, however, did not divulge further information. However, the TV star, who welcomed her second child a month after her twin sister delivered, relayed that leaving the tour was challenging for the A-list dancer.
The Russian native who moved to the United States in 2003 has been quite careful about the pandemic. He and Nikki Bella had to postpone their wedding following the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. Artem and his partner initially planned to have their wedding in Los Angeles, but they changed the location and ultimately put it on hold. The celebrity couple would later welcome their first bundle of joy, Matteo, in the same year. While wedding plans seem to be off the table, for now, the couple is still excited about getting married.
The die-hard fans of Total Bellas will gladly attest to how the Bella sisters have been maneuvering life since the pandemic started. The two have extra time on their hands bonding over their pregnancies and sweetly giving birth a month apart. Through it, all the wrestling champions always stand by each other and their spouses.
