The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria is an Extreme Trial in Final Fantasy XIV that serves as the enhanced difficulty mode for The Final Day, the boss fight in which Warriors of Light must confront the Endsinger. Naturally, this Trial mode is unlocked by completing all of the Endwalker expansion's MSQ and speaking to the Wandering Minstrel, located in Old Sharlayan at X:12.6, Y:14.2. Keep in mind the required FFXIV Item Level for this Trial is 580, but players are recommended to equip something slightly higher for a better chance of survival.
The boss fight of Endsinger's Aria begins with the Endsinger casting Elegeia Forgotten, which summons pillars of damage randomly about the arena and two gigantic planets. Observe where these planets orbit since they will create a massive knockback AoE attack after colliding. A miniature head of the boss will also spawn during this time. Carefully watch where the head is facing to avoid damage when the two aforementioned planets collide. The Endsinger will cast Elegeia Forgotten again before moving on to another ability.
Next is Katasterismo, an attack that spawns HP-draining towers that players must place themselves into temporarily. However, before entering these towers, adventurers must break the tether of the boss's Grip of Despair on party members in FFXIV. While soaking damage from Katasterismo, the Endsinger will cast two possible forms of Elenchos. This move is similar to the normal mode of this boss fight, during which players must watch whether the Endsinger is crying or opening its mouth before releasing a massive sweeping attack.

The next ability Warriors of Light should watch out for is Hubris. This ability will target two players, striking them with substantial damage. Ensure that the two tanks are diligently aggroing the boss to prevent DPS or Healers from receiving Hubris. Elegeia Forgotten will occur for the third time, but this sequence will end with Eironeia, during which players will need to separate into two groups to protect the two Healers in FFXIV. Afterward, Fatalism will take place, which functions similarly to a complex version of Elegeia Forgotten and Elenchos.
During Aporrhoia Unforgotten, five heads will spawn across the room, and players must watch the center head to know where the safe zone is of the Endsinger's AoE attacks. This ability will be reversed during Theological Fatalism, so be sure to watch where the attacks previously took place. The next major abilities are repeated or combined mechanics that players will need to experience to become accustomed to. While dealing damage is important, the main focus during Endsinger's Aria should be skillful positioning and well-timed healing in FFXIV. Once defeated the boss will drop high-tier armaments from the Bluefeather weapon set, but the main reward most players will want is the rare Mount drop, the Bluefeather Lynx Flute.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or Square Enix's official website.
